New-look Local Government Pension Scheme from April 2008

The Department for Communities and Local Government(DCLG) has issued a consultation document “Where next? - Options for a new-look Local Government Pension Scheme in England and Wales”. It is intended that legislation for a new-look scheme will be in place by April 2007 for implementation in April 2008.

Responses to the consultation paper should be submitted to DCLG by 29th September. The LPFA will be submitting a response, a copy of which will appear on this website in due course.
