Fund Management

Bexley's pension fund has two fund managers who invest on behalf of Bexley, UBS Global Asset Management (UBS) and Newton. The managers follow strict investment guidelines set by London Borough of Bexley who draw on expert advice from an independent advisor.

UBS was appointed to manage the Bexley pension fund as a whole in 1985. Following a Pensions Committee decision in February 1999, the fund was split with half the mandate awarded to Newton.

Both managers are monitored on a monthly basis by council officers and a half-yearly basis by the Pensions Committee.
